Job summary

Metalis Recruitment Group in Nottingham is seeking a CNC Miller to join their established engineering team. You will program, set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce components to tight tolerances, reading engineering drawings and ensuring quality at each stage.

You will create programs, jigs and fixtures for new components, perform self-inspection with manual gauges, and coordinate with the shop to maintain timings and bookings.

Qualifications

• Experience programming CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with Fanuc and/or Haas controls.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC milling machinery to produce components within tolerance.
• Perform self-inspection using manual measuring tools and read drawings.
• Create programmes, jigs and fixtures for new components and maintain accurate bookings.

Salary: From £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Metalis are working with a well established business in Nottingham, who are looking for a CNC Miller to join their team.

Job Duties

• Programming, setting and operating the CNC milling machinery ensuring components are produced in tolerance
• Self-inspection of components using manual measuring equipment
• Read and work from engineering drawings
• Creation of programmes, jigs and fixtures for new components
• Maintain accurate bookings in line with timings set for each job
• Setting and running multiple machines when the component run time and / or batch sizes allow
• Advise any machine servicing requirements and carry out basic maintenance duties

Job Requirements

• CNC Milling experience
• Able to set, operate and program CNC milling machines
• Able to read and work from engineering drawings
• Experience working with Fanuc and/or Haas

Salary & Shift

• From £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Monday to Thursday, 7am - 3:30pm & Friday, 7am - 12pm
