Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a skilled CNC Miller for a global aerospace precision manufacturer in Derby. The role involves setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce high‑precision components from engineering drawings and tolerances. You will work in a regulated manufacturing environment with double shift rotations (early and late).

Mazak or Fanuc control experience is advantageous. Salary ranges from £37,250 to £40,768 per year, including a 12% shift allowance, plus pension,

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
• Aerospace experience or knowledge of Mazak/Fanuc controls is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC Milling machines (3-Axis mandatory) following SOPs.
• Produce components to engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications.
• Achieve required productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Use inspection equipment to validate finished components.
• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain housekeeping.

Are you an experienced CNC Miller ready for your next challenge?

Our client, a global aerospace precision manufacturer in Derby, is looking for a skilled CNC Miller to set and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines producing high-precision components.

You’ll ideally have strong experience with setting and operating CNC Milling machines (3-Axis is a must have) be confident working independently in a regulated manufacturing environment. Aerospace experience or knowledge of Mazak or Fanuc controls would be beneficial but isn’t essential.

• Early Shift - Monday – Thursday: 6am – 2pm Friday: 9am-1pm

Job Description

• Set and operate CNC Milling machines (3-Axis is a must) machines following standard operating procedures.
• Produce components to engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications.
• Achieve required productivity levels in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Use inspection equipment and measurement methods to validate finished components.
• Follow all health & safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping standards.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Familiarity with Mazak and Fanuc control systems is advantageous
