Location: Huddersfield

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Job Type: Perm

Work Hours: Full-time, 7:30am-4pm Mon to Thurs & 7:30am-1pm Fri

We're working with a well-established manufacturer based in Huddersfield who are looking to bring on an experienced CNC Miller to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will be a fully skilled engineer, experienced programmer, setter and operator.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
• Select and install cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and work holding devices
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
• Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality
• Inspect finished products for accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine performance or product quality
• Preferable but not essential able to work Mazak for turning
• Predominantly will be working between the two following machines: Scharmann Twin Pallet Horizontal and Depo 1212

Person Requirements:

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller or similar role
• Proficient to perform basic math calculations
• Familiarity with tooling, power tools, and hand tools used in machining operations
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software for reading and interpreting technical drawings (beneficial)
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
