Job summary

Streamline Search Limited is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing business. The role focuses on milling precision components, with programming, setup, and first-run responsibilities to ensure accuracy and quality.

You will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours with flexitime options, earning £18.50–£20.50 per hour plus overtime. Benefits include 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, a birthday off, branded workwear, and mentoring opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience operating CNC mills (Hurco experience advantageous).
• Proficiency in manual milling.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong numeracy and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Experience with CNC or manual lathes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills with precision and care.
• Operate manual mills as required.
• Use inspection and measurement equipment to verify components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Apply strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems proactively.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes, efficiency, and quality.

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Milling Machinist. The successful candidate will focus on milling precision components, using greatest care and professional knowhow.

Package:

• £18.50-£20.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
• 5x for overtime
• 20 days' holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with tenure
