Job summary

Prime Appointments Ltd in the Crays Hill area near Basildon is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join an established engineering company. You will set up and operate CNC Milling machines, with exposure to Haas and Siemens controls and opportunities to progress into programming.

You will edit and adjust CNC programmes, inspect your work for quality, and develop programming skills, including Fusion 360. The role offers £20–£24 per hour, overtime at 1.33x, and a temp-to-perm progression path,

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC Milling machines.
• Experience with Haas and/or Siemens controls would be advantageous.
• Ability to edit programmes and make adjustments.
• Genuine interest in developing CNC programming skills.
• Programming experience welcome, but willingness to learn and progress is equally important.

An established engineering company based near Basildon is looking for a skilled CNC Setter Operator to join their team, with an excellent opportunity to develop their programming skills and progress into a more advanced role.

Whether you're already confident with CNC programming or are a strong setter operator keen to learn, this could be the perfect opportunity to develop your career.

CNC Miller Duties:

• Setting and operating CNC Milling machines.

• Working with machines including Haas and Siemens controls.

• Editing and adjusting existing CNC programmes.

• Inspecting your own work to ensure quality and accuracy.

• Developing your CNC programming skills, with the opportunity to use Fusion 360 (experience beneficial but not essential).

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience setting and operating CNC Milling machines.

• Experience with Haas and/or Siemens controls would be advantageous.

• The ability to edit programmes and make adjustments.

• A genuine interest in developing your CNC programming skills.

• Existing programming experience is welcome, but the willingness to learn and progress is equally important.
