Job summary

Rubicon People Partnership seeks a skilled CNC Miller in Christchurch to programme, set and run mills from start to finish with Mazak and Heidenhain controls. Precision is essential, with first-off checks carrying weight before final inspection.

You’ll work across 3, 4 and 5 axis mills producing components to tight tolerances, interpreting engineering drawings and maintaining tooling to a high standard in a precision engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer, Setter or Operator.
• Strong working knowledge of Heidenhain controls (essential), with Mazak experience also valued
• Experience programming and setting 3, 4 and 5 axis mills
• Background in precision engineering or a similar high-tolerance manufacturing environment
• Confidence carrying out first off inspection to a consistent standard

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines using Mazak and Heidenhain controls
• Work across 3, 4 and 5 axis mills to produce components to tight tolerances
• Carry out first off quality checks prior to final inspection
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately
• Maintain machines and tooling to a high standard

CNC Miller | Christchurch | up to £23ph

You’ll be trusted to programme, set and run the job from start to finish, not just press buttons.
Precision is the standard here, and your first off checks carry real weight before parts move to final inspection.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in getting it right, every time.
