Job summary

Staffline in Poole is seeking an experienced CNC Mill/Turn setter to operate and set up CNC milli/turn machines with Fanuc controls, manufacturing precision components for engineering products. The role features a 4-night shift Monday to Thursday with flexible start/finish times and a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will work with aluminium and stainless steel, read technical drawings, and use gauges and micrometers to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milli/turn machines.
• Ability to change tools and adjust offsets.
• Proficient with measuring equipment and inspection gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC 5-axis mill/turn machines with Fanuc/ Haas controls.
• Work from technical engineering drawings to manufacture parts.
• Work with aluminium and stainless steel to tight tolerances.
• Use measuring tools to inspect parts and ensure quality.
• Maintain safe work practices and report issues.

We are now seeking a CNC Milli/ Turn setter to work for an Engineering & Manufacturing company based in Poole. The appropriate candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the CNC milli/ turn machines with Fanuc controls to manufacture precision engineering products.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC 5 Mill/Turn machines with Fanuc controls


• Working on technical engineering drawings


• Working with aluminium and stainless steel


• Ability to use measuring tools


• Ensuring excellent quality through the inspection of parts using measuring equipment such as gauges, verniers and micrometres.

Requirement

• Ideally, previous experience in setting and operating CNC Milli/ Turn machines with Fanuc or Haas controls


• Ability to change tools and adjust offsets


• Ability to use measuring tools

• Working knowledge of Nakamura machines with bar feed is an advantage but not essential
