Job summary

South West Recruitment Ltd in Poole is seeking an experienced CNC Mill/Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator to join a precision engineering manufacturer. You will program, set and operate CNC Mill/Turn lathes with FANUC controls, producing components to tight tolerances for aerospace applications.

The role requires interpretation of drawings, experience with Edgecam and Nakamura machines is a plus, and a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC Mill/Turn programming, setting and operating experience.
• Strong knowledge of FANUC controls.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
• Experience in aerospace or precision engineering.
• Nakamura knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn lathes.
• Produce online and offline CNC programmes.
• Manufacture precision components to drawings and specifications.
• Inspect finished parts against drawings and SPC.
• Maintain high machining accuracy and quality.
• Follow 5C/5S workshop procedures.
