Job summary

First Base Employment is recruiting a CNC Mill/Turn Programmer / Setter / Operator for a precision engineering site in Poole, Dorset. The role covers programming, setting and operating CNC mill/turn machinery with FANUC controls to produce high-precision components.

The right candidate will read drawings, edit CNC programmes online/offline and perform in-process inspections, maintaining quality and efficiency in a 5S/5C environment.

Qualifications

• Fully skilled CNC mill/turn machining experience.
• Strong knowledge of FANUC controls.
• Experience with CNC programming, setting and operating.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Edgecam programming experience would be advantageous.
• Experience with Nakamura machines and bar feed systems would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC mill/turn lathe machines.
• Using FANUC-controlled machinery to manufacture precision components.
• Producing and editing CNC programmes both online and offline.
• Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications.

The Role

First Base Employment is currently recruiting for a CNC Mill/Turn Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a precision engineering environment based in Poole.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fully skilled CNC Machinist with experience programming, setting and operating CNC mill/turn machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing complex precision components, working with FANUC controls and ensuring all work is completed to demanding engineering specifications.
