Job summary

Actio Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Mill/Turn Setter Operator and Programmer to join a precision aerospace machining team in Poole, Dorset. Roles are available on day and night shifts with a competitive hourly rate and a 30% night premium.

You will set and operate CNC mill/turn lathes using FANUC controls, program with Fanuc, read detailed engineering drawings, perform in-process inspection, and uphold SPC and strict quality standards in a modern 5S/5C environment.

Qualifications

• Fully skilled machinist with experience operating CNC mill/turn lathes using FANUC controls in a precision engineering environment.
• Proven CNC machining experience within aerospace or similar high-tolerance sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with in-process inspection and maintaining SPC and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC mill/turn machines using FANUC controls.
• Programming with Fanuc for the programming role.
• Producing precision aerospace components to tight tolerances.
• Working from detailed drawings and specifications.
