Bowmill in Poole, Dorset is seeking a skilled CNC Mill/Turn Setter & Operator to join the manufacturing team. You will set and operate CNC lathes with FANUC controls to produce precision components per customer drawings.

The role offers night shift with a 30% enhancement, 39 hours per week, and 25 days holiday. Applicants with a mechanical engineering apprenticeship and aerospace experience are preferred.

Competenze

• Experience setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn machines.
• Strong knowledge of FANUC controls.
• Experience in aerospace industry is highly desirable.
• Ability to inspect own work with measuring equipment.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.

The Role

• Ensure components meet quality, tolerance and customer requirements
• Maintain a high standard of engineering workmanship
• Follow company quality, health and safety procedures
• Maintain your work area to a high standard of 5S housekeeping

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn machines
• Strong working knowledge of FANUC controls
• Experience within the aerospace industry is highly desirable
• Ability to inspect your own work using a range of measuring equipment
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
• Completed Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship preferred
• Experience with Nakamura machines and bar feeders would be advantageous but is not essential
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Working Hours

• Night shift core hours: 8:00pm - 3:00am
• Shift start times cannot be earlier than 4:00pm
• 39 hours per week
