Job summary

Bowmill in Poole, Dorset is seeking a skilled CNC Mill/Turn Setter & Operator to join the manufacturing team. You will set and operate CNC lathes with FANUC controls to produce precision components per customer drawings.

The role offers night shift with a 30% enhancement, 39 hours per week, and 25 days holiday. Applicants with a mechanical engineering apprenticeship and aerospace experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn machines.
• Strong knowledge of FANUC controls.
• Experience in aerospace industry is highly desirable.
• Ability to inspect own work with measuring equipment.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC Mill/Turn lathes using FANUC controls.
• Manufacture precision components to customer drawings and specifications.
• Inspect own work to drawing and SPC requirements.
• Ensure components meet quality, tolerance and customer requirements.
• Maintain a high standard of engineering workmanship.
• Follow company quality, health and safety procedures.
• Maintain your work area to a high standard of 5S housekeeping.
