Job summary

Optical Precision is seeking a CNC Miller Setter Operator in the United Kingdom. The role involves setting and running CNC mills, editing programs, and ensuring tolerance per drawings. 40 hours/week, with fixed shifts and overtime as needed.

The successful candidate will maintain machine logs, liaise with engineering teams, and adhere to health, safety, and quality policies. Competitive hourly pay and company benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years relevant production experience.
• Experience setting & running CNC mills.
• Willing to work shifts and unsociable hours.
• High attention to detail.
• Required to work overtime in line with company needs.

Responsibilities

• Cleanliness of work station and maintenance of machines while during and at the end of their shift in line with TPM Schedule.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Ability to edit programs to maintain size and tolerance.
• Use of manual measuring equipment.
• Loading and unloading parts onto machines.
• Programme proving of new products as and when required.
• Adhere to quality, Health and Safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Wear PPE and notify Health and Safety when replacements are needed.
• Liaising with production engineering, design and inspection as required.
