Job summary

Dover Precision Components in the United Kingdom is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain and improve a precision engineering site, including 30+ CNC machine tools, aligned with TPM programs and proactive maintenance.

You will diagnose faults, perform routine inspections, and collaborate with contractors to minimise downtime. The role demands hands-on experience on CNC machines and strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in repair and maintenance of CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, horizontal borers).
• IPAF certification desirable
• Training in lifting and slinging desirable
• Forklift truck (FLT) driver desirable

Responsibilities

• Service and repair a broad range of CNC machines, manual tools and ancillary equipment
• Maintenance of general site services and facilities where relevant
• Carry out fault diagnostics and implement corrective actions through troubleshooting
• Perform routine inspections and cleaning of machinery
• Co-ordinate with contractors on specialised repairs or projects
• On-call work may be required in emergencies, including 24/5 coverage
