Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Scotland is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to keep a precision engineering site and production equipment running, including 30+ CNC machine tools. You will follow planned and preventive maintenance programmes and handle reactive breakdowns to maximise uptime.

You'll diagnose faults, service CNC machines and assist with high-value projects. Strong knowledge of health and safety, IT literacy, and experience with Fanuc/Heidenhain controls will help you

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience repairing CNC machine tools (Lathes, Mills, Horizontal Borers).
• IPAF certification desirable.
• Lifting and slinging training desirable.
• Certified forklift truck (FLT) driver desirable.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair a broad range of CNC machines, manual tools and ancillary equipment.
• Maintenance of general site services and facilities where relevant.
• Carry out fault diagnostics and implement corrective actions through troubleshooting.
• Carry out routine inspections and cleaning of key aspects of machinery.
• Assist / liaise with contractors on specialised repairs and/or projects.
• On call work may be required in emergency situations, especially where key equipment runs 24/5.
