Job summary

EMBS Talent Group is seeking a CNC Maintenance Engineer in the Derby area to keep CNC machines running, fault-find, and perform planned and preventative maintenance across a busy shop floor. You will work across a range of CNC controls, respond quickly to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement on the shop floor.

The role requires 5+ years in CNC maintenance, plus an engineering apprenticeship and Level 3 qualification.

Qualifications

Experience across a variety of CNC control systems and machine types.
Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
Experience repairing gearboxes, ball screws, pumps and motors.
Experience with 5-axis machine alignment.
An understanding of PLC ladder logic.
Completion of a relevant apprenticeship and an engineering qualification equivalent to Level 3.
A solid engineering background within the machine tool industry.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC maintenance.
Good knowledge of HSE regulations.

Responsibilities

Carrying out fault finding, problem solving, and planned and preventative maintenance across all CNC machines
Working under your own initiative with minimal supervision
Minimising machine downtime through prompt and effective repairs
Supporting continuous improvement activities across the site
