Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Huddersfield, United Kingdom, is seeking a CNC Machinist for our Operations Support team. The role is permanent and on-site, with a 35-hour week and two shifts (days and nights). The salary starts at £36,575 with a 30% night-shift allowance.

The candidate will set and operate CNC lathes, milling machines, honing machines and grinders, perform precision measurements, and contribute to a diverse, inclusive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in CNC Machining.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Proactive mindset with initiative and problem-solving ability.
Effective communication skills with ability to train others.

Responsibilities

Set, operate, and maintain CNC lathes, milling machines, honing machines and grinders.
Adjust tool offsets and datums to ensure precision machining.
Carry out detailed inspections using CMM machines and attribute gauges.
Work within the remanufacturing machining area, supporting multiple CNC processes and machine types as part of a multi-skilled team.
Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

We are looking for experienced CNC Machinist to join our team specialising in Manufacturing for our Operations Support department in Huddersfield, United Kingdom .

Location: Huddersfield, United Kingdom

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £36,575 + 30% shift allowance for Night Shift

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, mid shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 3:00pm (Days)

Monday – Thursday, 10:15pm – 7:30am (Nights)
