Cummins Inc. in Daventry, UK is seeking a Manufacturing Operator (Blockline) to operate advanced CNC machines, craft high-precision cylinder blocks, and uphold strict quality standards. The role is a temporary contract up to 24 months, requiring accuracy, teamwork and a proactive mindset.

Two-shift rotation is available (Mornings and Afternoons) with on-site only work. Training is provided, and there are opportunities for personal and professional growth within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical CNC training or engineering knowledge advantageous.
  • Experience in CNC machining preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Operate advanced CNC machines to craft high-precision cylinder blocks.
  • adhere to detailed specifications and quality controls.
  • Promote safety and follow Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team to meet production targets and improve processes.
  • Identify opportunities for quality, safety and efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain clean work area and perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Meet cycle times and apply SPC in quality control as needed.

We’re looking for a talented individual to join our Blockline Support Team in Daventry, UK for a temporary contract of up to 24 months. If you're driven by precision, teamwork, and innovation, this role is for you!

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educational Background : High school diploma or equivalent, with strong skills in mathematics and technical knowledge.

  • Relevant Training : Vocational or technical training in CNC machining or engineering is highly advantageous.

  • Industry Experience : Previous experience in operating CNC machines in the automotive or engineering fields preferred, but training is provided .

  • Tech Savvy : Comfortable with PCs or handheld terminals, ensuring effective use of quality standards and safety practices.
