Job summary

You will program, set and operate CNC milling machines, working closely with mechanical and R&D engineers to produce one-off and low-volume components.

This position is 2-3 days per week, with a pro-rata salary of £35,000–£45,000 and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC machinery.
• Strong understanding of drawings and GD&T.
• CAD/CAM or prototype experience is advantageous.
• Part-time availability (2–3 days per week).

An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist to join an innovating company on a part-time basis, working on precision prototypes for next-generation technologies.

Do you have strong experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines? Are you looking for a part-time role working on exciting projects?

Specialising in advanced technology, this pioneering organisation has built a strong reputation for engineering innovation and product development. With ambitious growth plans and continued investment into R&D, they are now looking to expand their prototype engineering team with the addition of a CNC Machinist.

In this role, you will manufacture high-quality, precision prototype components, primarily through CNC milling. Working closely with mechanical and R&D engineers, you will produce one-off and low-volume components, provide manufacturing feedback and support the rapid development of new products. This is a part-time role, initially 2-3 days a week, so you must be happy with this.

This role would therefore suit an experienced CNC Machinist with programming experience who is looking for a part-time role and enjoys working on technically challenging projects.
