Job summary

Pertemps Southampton is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join a manufacturing business in Southampton. You will work with in-house design and production teams and handle both 5-axis and 3-axis CNC/CAD projects.

The role covers programming and operating CNC machines on varied one-off projects with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and detail. Monday to Friday, 8am-5.30pm, £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience, with 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC experience.
• Engineering mindset.
• Excellent hands-on skills with tools, machines or materials.
• Understanding of 3D CAD.
• Excellent eye for detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with in-house design and production teams.
• Bringing ideas to life on unique one-off projects.
• Using traditional craftsmanship with CNC/CAD machinery.
• Operating both 5 Axis and 3 Axis machines.
• Programming and operating CNC machines.
• Working with 3D CAD to realise concepts.
