Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking experienced CNC Machinists to support our aerospace manufacturing in Wolverhampton. You will set up and operate a range of CNC machines (mill/turn, multi-axis) and contribute to NPI projects with engineering and quality teams.

Working on-site, you will perform first-off inspections and maintain stringent documentation while meeting tight tolerances in a high-spec environment. Excellent engineering apprenticeship background preferred and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC machining experience in a high-spec aerospace environment.
• Engineering apprenticeship completed with recognised qualification.
• Deep understanding of machining techniques, tooling and inspection methods.
• Proactive with focus on precision, quality and continuous improvement.

As part of our ongoing growth, Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking to recruit experienced CNC Machinists to support our expanding operations in Wolverhampton.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of aerospace innovation, contributing directly to New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. You’ll be part of a team that brings cutting-edge designs to life, machining complex components for some of the most advanced aircraft systems in the world.

In approximately 18 to 24 months, operational requirements may lead to the introduction of either double days or night shifts. Any such changes would include the appropriate shift allowance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Setting up and operating a range of CNC machines (mill/turn, multi-axis).
• Supporting NPI programs, working closely with engineering and quality teams to develop and refine new components.
• Performing first-off inspections and completing all required quality documentation.
• Working to extremely tight tolerances in a high-spec aerospace environment.

What You’ll Bring

• A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience (Okuma, Mazak, DMG, Matsura, Puma, etc.).
• A strong background in engineering or manufacturing - aerospace experience preferred.
• Deep understanding of machining techniques, tooling, and inspection methods.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on precision, quality, and continuous improvement.

Working 37 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 7.30 am - 4.15 pm and Friday 7.30 am - 11.30 am.
