Job summary

Recruit4staff is seeking a CNC Machinist in Wigan to program, set up and operate Hurco controlled milling centres for bespoke, low-volume components. You will read engineering drawings and 3D CAD files to determine optimal techniques, and use offline CAD-CAM software to create tool paths and machining instructions.

The role offers permanent employment with pay £18–£19.50 per hour, plenty of overtime, onsite parking, and a clean, modern workshop.

• Offline programming experience.

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established precision engineering business in their search for a CNC Machinist to work in Wigan.

Job Role:

Programming, setting and operating CNC Milling centres to manufacture bespoke, low-volume components. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and 3D CAD files to determine optimal manufacturing techniques. Using offline CAD-CAM software to create tool paths and machining instructions. Running CNC Millers with Hurco controls to achieve maximum efficiency in batch production.

Job Details:

• Pay: £18 per hr - £19.50 per hr
• Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am – 3pm
• Duration: Permanent
• Overtime Rules: Plenty of overtime available,

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Programming and operating milling machines with Hurco controls
• Previous experience of machining first off samples
• Offline programming experience

• Experience working for a low volume batch manufacturer or precision engineer
