Job summary

Arabelle Solutions UK Ltd seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Service Centre in Rugby. You will work on Mills, Lathes and Drills manufacturing large bespoke parts from high-grade metals, reading drawings, and editing NC programs to ensure top quality.

You will self-inspect using micrometers and support EHS, Quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Role requires reading drawings, NC programming/editing, and experience with Siemens 840D controls is advantageous; rotating equipment

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or an apprenticeship.
• Experience of 5-axis machining, turning and milling; able to edit NC programs; Siemens 840D controls advantageous.
• Demonstrable experience in a manufacturing environment; rotating equipment advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and flexibility to work across different products and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture large bespoke items from high-grade metals ensuring quality aligned to drawings and customer requirements.
• Write and edit NC programs to ensure the end product meets specifications.
• Perform self-inspection of manufactured parts using micrometers and other inspection tools.
• Support EHS, quality, continuous improvement and new product initiatives in line with business needs.

Job description

We are delighted to announce that we are seeking a CNC Machinist to join our Service Centre team based at our site on Newbold Road in Rugby. You will be working as part of our team using a variety of machines including Mills, Lathes and Drills. As a CNC machinist you will manufacture large bespoke items from high grade metals ensuring quality of products and operations are aligned to drawings, customer order requirements as well as internal and regulatory quality standards. This position requires technical competence in reading drawings as well as the ability to write and edit code to ensure that the end product is manufactured to the highest quality. You will also carry out self inspection on manufactured parts using micrometers and other inspection tools. Within the role you will work as part of a skilled and experienced workforce, supporting EHS, Quality, Continuous improvement and New Product initiatives in line with business need ensuring compliance to company and general Health and Safety, environmental and quality standards and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineer, alternatively a recognized apprenticeship within engineering could also be considered.
• Experience of 5 axis machining, Turning and Milling Be able to edit NC programs and experience required with Siemens 840D controls would be advantageous
• Demonstrable experience within a manufacturing environment, rotating equipment would be an advantage.
