A permanent vacancy has arisen within our clients Production Engineering Section for a CNC Machinist , please note the main base for this position is Falkirk.

Rate of pay (Training rate)-£15.50ph

Rate of pay (After training) - £17ph, 39 hours pw with minimum 5hrs OT at 1.5X.

Duties

• Operate CNC machines, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
• Load, set up, and program jobs using CNC software and technical drawings
• Monitor machine performance and adjust for accuracy and tolerances
• Conduct quality checks and basic maintenance on equipment
• Collaborate with fabrication and welding teams to meet project timelines
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC operation experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret steel fabrication drawings and shop details
• Ability to maintain and fix machines
• Familiarity with beam line or plasma processing machinery
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
