Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is recruiting a skilled CNC Machinist to operate and program 3/5 axis milling machines in a busy precision engineering workshop in Dungannon. Your role includes programming, setting, and operating high-spec machines with Fanuc controls to tight tolerances.

Shifts available Day or Night with overtime regularly paid at enhanced rates. Candidates should have 3+ years in CNC milling and a strong background in precision engineering, reading drawings and using CAD/CAM software.

Qualifications

• 3/5 axis CNC milling with programming/setting experience.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience with Fanuc control systems and CAD/CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Produce CNC programs for 3/5 axis mills using CAD/CAM.
• Set, adjust and operate Fanuc CNC mills.
• Manufacture high-precision components to specifications.
• Perform in-process and final inspections per quality standards.
• Read drawings and technical docs; maintain daily machine checks.
• Keep workspace clean, safe and well-organised.
• Support production and adapt to demand.
• Comply with PPE and high-spec machinery usage.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced 3/5 Axis CNC Milling Machinist to join a busy and well-established precision engineering company. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional with programming, setting, and operating experience to work with high-specification machinery in a modern manufacturing environment.

Day Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm

Night Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 4:45pm – 3:15am
• Friday: Off

Both shifts offer an excellent work-life balance, with either an early finish on Fridays or a permanent three-day weekend on nights.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for 3 and 5 Axis milling machines.
• Set, adjust, and operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls.
• Manufacture high-precision components to exact engineering specifications.
• Conduct in-process inspections and final quality checks in line with internal quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Carry out daily machine checks and routine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
• Work flexibly to support production demands and business requirements.
• Undertake additional duties appropriate to your skills and experience.
• Previous experience in a similar CNC milling role.
• Strong background in precision engineering.
• Familiarity with Fanuc control systems.
• Engineering qualification with a CNC machining specialism.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Minimum of three years’ experience programming, setting, and operating 3/5 Axis CNC milling machines.
• CAD/CAM programming knowledge.
• Experience using MRP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and inspection skills.
• Excellent rates of pay depending on experience.
