HR GO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Machine Setter / CNC Lathe Operator to join a precision engineering shop in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. You will set and operate CNC lathes and contribute to manufacturing high-precision components to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experienced in setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Able to read engineering drawings and interpret specs.
• Proficient with measuring tools (verniers, micrometers, gauges).
• Good understanding of tolerances and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC lathes and related machinery.
• Produce precision components to customer drawings and specifications.
• Tool setting, offsets and machine adjustments.
• Conduct first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and seek improvements.
• Meet production targets and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
