Office Angels in Leicester is seeking a skilled CNC Setter Operator to set and run CNC turning lathes, producing high-precision components to tight tolerances. You will join a modern high-tech facility and play a key role in a stable engineering team.

Ideal candidates have experience with reading detailed drawings, precision measurement equipment, and working in a fast-paced environment. The role offers progression into programming and optimisation and includes shifts with pay incentives.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Experience in precision machining with tight tolerances.
• Skilled in using precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-accuracy components to extremely tight tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, shadow graph, and laser micrometer.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Machine parts to tolerances as tight as 0.010mm / 10 microns.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously during production runs.
• Maintain accurate machining and TPM documentation.
• Adhere to manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and H&S guidelines.
• Ensure confidentiality and care when handling customer components.
• Consistently deliver reliable, high-quality workmanship.
