Job summary

Masstemps is seeking a reliable CNC Laser Machine Operator in the West Midlands to operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring safe, efficient production to required quality standards.

You will set up machines, read engineering drawings, inspect parts, perform routine maintenance, and record production data while adhering to safety procedures and team collaboration. Weekend hours are paid at 1.5× the standard rate.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC laser machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments where required.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the workspace clean and safe.
• Record production data and report faults to the supervisor.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
