Job summary

Weston College in Filton, Bristol, is expanding its advanced engineering provision and seeks an experienced CNC programming professional to join our team as a Lecturer in Engineering - CNC. This full-time role (37 hours per week) offers the opportunity to bring your industry expertise into our brand-new AMTEC campus and train to become a qualified lecturer.

You will teach CNC sessions, connect learning to real industry practice, support students academically and pastorally, and help shape

Qualifications

• Significant CNC experience, including machining, programming, diagnosing faults, setting tooling.
• Strong industry knowledge and ability to translate practice into teaching.
• High professional standards and ability to model workplace behaviours for learners.
• Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Teach CNC sessions (practical and theory) to apprentices and learners.
• Bring real-world engineering practice into the classroom.
• Support students academically and pastorally.
• Contribute to development of programmes aligned to employer needs.
• Provide guidance on progression to employment or further study.
