Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Operator (Blockline) in Daventry, UK for a temporary contract of up to 24 months. The role runs two shift rotations (Mornings and Afternoons) and requires on-site work.

You will operate CNC machines to craft high-precision cylinder blocks, uphold safety standards, and collaborate with a skilled team to hit production goals. You will have training in CNC machining, strong math skills, and a proactive attitude toward quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNC machining or engineering training is advantageous.
• Experience operating CNC machines preferred, but training is provided.
• Proficiency with PCs/handheld terminals for quality and safety tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced CNC machines to produce high-precision cylinder blocks.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and promote a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and improve processes.
• Identify opportunities for quality, safety and efficiency improvements.
• Keep work area clean and maintain equipment for reliable operations.
• Work toward meeting production targets and cycle times with both manual and automated systems.
• Follow quality controls such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) to minimize costs.
