Qualifications

• Strong practical machining knowledge and ability to own complex engineering work.
• Experience taking drawings through process design, prove-out and production.
• Ability to improve cycle times, quality and production volumes.

Responsibilities

• Design complete machining processes from engineering drawings.
• Select machines, tooling, workholding and gauging.
• Support 5-axis and twin-spindle machining as required.
• Take new projects through customer approval into production.
• Collaborate with programmers, setters, operators and quality teams.
• Troubleshoot machining and dimensional problems on the shop floor.
• Drive improvements in cycle times, scrap reduction and process consistency.
• Support manufacturability discussions with customers.
