Job summary

Precision People is recruiting a Senior Process Engineer in Coventry to own complex machining processes and drive new product introduction for multi‑year programmes. You will translate drawings into robust process designs, select machines, tooling, and gauging, and collaborate with programmers, setters and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Strong practical machining knowledge and process engineering experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings and determine machine selection, sequence, tooling and gauging.
• Experience with 5-axis and multi-spindle machining advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design complete machining processes from engineering drawings.
• Selecting machines, tooling, workholding and gauging.
• Support 5-axis and twin‑spindle machining where appropriate.
• Taking new machining projects through customer approval into production.
• Working closely with programmers, setters, operators and quality teams.
• Troubleshooting machining and dimensional problems on the shop floor.
• Improving cycle times, scrap levels and process consistency.
• Supporting manufacturability and technical discussions with customers.
