Job summary

Major Recruitment Oldbury are recruiting for a 3 Axis CNC Operator for a professional engineering organisation on their Darlaston site. You will set up and operate Hurco 5-axis and ROEDER machines, using setting sheets and WinMax software to produce precision components to spec.

Candidates should read drawings and check their work with precision measuring tools. We seek individuals with at least 5 years of machining experience, especially with Hurco controls, and the ability to program with

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience machining, aerospace experience desirable.
• Experience on Hurco controls is essential.
• Ability to program and operate with minimal supervision.
• Experience of 3-, 2- and 5-axis machining.
• Graphite machining experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Hurco 5-axis machines and ROEDER using setting sheets.
• Conversational programming and operation of Hurco 5-axis to exacting specs using WinMax at the console.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure correct parts.
• Check own work using measuring equipment and gauges.
• Complete both one-offs and batch work as required by production schedule.
• Ensure production requirements align with the production schedule.

Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for a professional engineering organisation who are seeking a 3 Axis CNC Operator to join their busy Darlaston site.

Duties and tasks will include:

• Set up and operate 5 Axis Hurco's and a ROEDER using setting sheets.
• Conversational program, set up and operate Hurco 5-AXIS to produce precise components to specification using WinMax software at the console.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Check your own work using a range of measuring equipment.
• Completing one offs and batch work.
• Ensure that production requirements are met in line with the production schedule.

Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:

• a min of 5 years' experience of machining with experience in Aerospace desirable.
• Experience of working on Hurco is essential.
• An ability to program and work with minimal supervision is a necessity.
• Experience of 3,2 & 5 Axis Machining
• Experience of working with graphite would be beneficial.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 10 hours between 6am and 6pm, Friday is overtime which will be provided on a weeks notice, and parking is available.
