Brown & Hawthorne Engineering Ltd in Coventry is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join our precision engineering team. You will set, program and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines to engineering drawings and tight tolerances, using Hurco controls. The role requires reading drawings, selecting tooling and maintaining quality.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 7.45am–4.45pm and Friday 7.45am–1.00pm; salary negotiable based on experience.

Qualificações

• Experience in CNC milling, setting and programming.
• Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machining.
• Hurco control knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, programming and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Setting, programming and operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.

Working with Hurco controls.

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Selecting tooling and setting up jobs.

Inspecting own work to ensure quality and accuracy.

Troubleshooting machining issues and maintaining production standards.

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Skills and Experience Required:

Proven experience in CNC milling, setting and programming.

Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machining.

Hurco control knowledge preferred.

Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
