Job summary

Unilever Burton on Trent Factory is seeking an Asset Care Coordinator to lead the CMMS, optimise preventive maintenance, and drive reliability. You will manage asset hierarchies, plan maintenance tasks, and ensure data accuracy to support maintenance excellence.

In a fast-moving FMCG environment, you will work with maintenance planners, train teams on CMMS use, and develop dashboards to monitor KPIs, OEE and MTBF improvements. Strong mechanical/electrical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in engineering maintenance or equivalent
• Experience in Engineering in an FMCG environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical skill set
• Experience with CMMS development and utilisation
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Act as site owner and CMMS super-user
• Maintain asset hierarchy, equipment records, PMs, work orders, spare parts links and documentation
• Coordinate with maintenance planner to ensure full coverage
• Ensure data accuracy and standardisation across the CMMS
• Drive continuous improvement of CMMS functionality and user adoption
• Develop reporting dashboards and KPIs to improve maintenance performance
• Train engineering and operations teams on CMMS best practices
• Support implementation of new CMMS features and digital tools
• Analyse breakdown trends and recurring failures
• Lead root cause analysis for chronic losses
• Improve and complete PMs
• Drive corrective actions into maintenance routines
• Monitor asset health and recommend strategies to improve OEE and MTBF
