Job summary

Osborne Clarke is seeking a CMI Team Lead for the UK Client & Matter Inception function based in Bristol. The role focuses on workflow management, capacity planning, quality assurance and governance within the New Business Intake team.

You will partner with senior officers, support training, and ensure compliance with AML, KYC and regulatory standards. You will oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate complex requests, and champion continuous improvement while maintaining high service levels

Qualifications

• Demonstrated CMI/AML experience and strong knowledge of client intake workflows.
• Ability to manage a team and coordinate across multiple stakeholders in a regulated environment.
• Experience with InTapp or equivalent client/matter intake software is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day CMI operations, ensuring service levels and timely delivery.
• Plan capacity, rosters, and workload balancing to optimise throughput.
• Coordinate multi-jurisdictional requests and approvals with international offices.
• Provide line management and development support for CMI Assistants and Officers.
• Drive process improvements and governance to mitigate operational risk.
• deputise for the CMI Manager and act as incident manager for critical cases.
