Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council is recruiting a Provision Coordinator for Children Missing Education in Stevenage. The role focuses on coordinating educational provisions for CME students and ensuring statutory duties are met.

You will work with schools, families, and partner agencies to track, identify and reintegrate children into education. The post requires knowledge of SEND legislation, strong organisational and communication skills, and experience with coordinating EHC plans or related SEND

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation and guidance (Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice, SEND Regulations).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across education, health, and care services.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent, or significant experience within education or SEND roles.
• Experience as Educational Health Care Co-ordinator is beneficial.
• Experience working with schools to deliver SEND provision or coproduction with parents.
• Experience commissioning providers and negotiating with professionals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, monitor and secure suitable educational provision for CME students.
• Attend multi-agency meetings to discuss needs and provision.
• Write or amend EHC plans focusing on commissioning and monitoring provision.
• Support families and schools to understand statutory SEND processes.
• Champion local solutions while meeting statutory obligations.
