Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd. is seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join the Maintenance Team across multiple care homes in the Midlands, Wales, and North. A full driving licence is essential as you will travel between sites, with a company van provided.

You’ll handle internal and external painting, upkeep of facilities, and occasional basic maintenance tasks, while adhering to health and safety standards. This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Robust and high-quality painting and decorating experience with a keen eye for detail.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, maintaining a high degree of skill and professionalism
• Ability to work at height
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• Full and clean driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carry out all painting and decorating tasks, including preparation, repair, and finishing of internal and external areas.
• Work safely at height using ladders, scaffolding, and access equipment.
• Keep work areas clean and minimise disruption to residents and staff.
• Support general maintenance tasks (e.g. basic plumbing, tiling, minor repairs).
• Travel between homes as required to support the maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures at all times.
