Job summary

Orchard Care Homes Ltd. is seeking a Mobile Painter & Decorator to cover 11 care homes across Yorkshire and the Midlands.

You will be the point of contact for decorating queries, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope to keep homes welcoming, safe, and well-maintained. Ideal candidates are masters of their trade with a passion for high standards, possess a clean driving licence, and are willing to travel, including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Master of trade and detail orientated.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• IT literate – confident using MS Office and online FM platforms.
• Clean driving licence and flexibility to travel, including overnight stays.
• Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
• Professional, approachable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a point of contact for all decorating queries.
• Liaising with the Home Manager ensuring the care home is maintained in good decorative order.
• Ensuring timely completion of allocated decorating tasks, completed to agreed scope.
• Understanding and meet statutory and legal requirements such as Food Safety, COSHH and Fire Safety and to maintain a safe environment throughout the care home.
• Reporting any deficiencies that are out of the scope of this role to the Home Manager and Estates team and follow these up.
• Respecting residents at all times, especially their individual right to privacy, dignity and choice.
• Liaising with external contractors to ensure that all requirements relating to Health & Safety and the Care Standards Act legislation are fully met.

As
