Aareon UK is seeking an experienced Senior IT Systems Software Professional to develop and modify software for operating and controlling hardware and to provide a platform for running internal end-user applications.

The work includes identifying business needs, conducting requirements gathering, feasibility studies, and writing code in lower-level languages for hardware. Responsibilities include testing, deployment, and maintenance with independent work under general supervision.

Responsible for developing and modifying IT Systems Software (i.e., software for use in operating/controlling hardware and providing a platform for running internal end user/business applications).

The work includes:

• Identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives for the IT System
• Performing feasibility studies to develop software such as databases, operating systems, networks and utilities for hardware compatibility
• Writing code in lower-level programming languages and translating/compiling into machine language for use on specific hardware
• Supporting systems software testing, deployment, and maintenance activities by correcting programming errors and coding systems software enhancements

A Senior Professional applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
