Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Engineering team in Southampton. This role offers the chance to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development in challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain relationships with customers, provide proactive service, and act as a bridge between engineering and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Train staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Support Professional Services and Sales within Network Services.
  • Monitor customer incidents and report on accounts.
  • Identify trends, security threats, and technical bulletins affecting customers.
  • Manage documentation related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
  • Follow internal and external processes for tasks, reporting, and changes.
  • Assist with Proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval, and lab testing.
  • Create technical documentation such as TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW.
  • Review engineering documentation peer-wise.
  • Pre-stage equipment for customer sites.
  • Participate in customer meetings and reviews.
  • Ensure accurate timesheet submissions.
  • Maintain relevant certifications and complete expenses timely.
  • Adhere to GDPR and security policies.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is intrigued by Cloud technologies, with knowledge of Azure, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange, with support environment experience and on-premise Cloud Services exposure. Certifications like VCP and MCSA are desirable but not essential. You should have strong work ethics, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills, capable of working independently or in a team.
