Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Security Engineer II to strengthen security across cloud-native environments and AI platforms. You will build guardrails, manage tooling, and collaborate with TechOps to harden infrastructure and protect systems.

The role emphasizes security by design, hands-on tooling, and scripting with Python or Terraform, while ensuring controls align with enterprise policies. This is a full-time opportunity in the United Kingdom.

Qualifications

• Information security and engineering background.
• Familiarity with managing enterprise security tools at-scale with a GitOps focus.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as web application firewalls (WAFs), static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST) tools, and vulnerability scanners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Leadership skills and the ability to get things done.

Responsibilities

• Build security services and engineer security guardrails for cloud-native environments and AI.
• Support security operations and help improve incident processes (not on an on-call rota).
• Build, manage, and improve enterprise security tooling, such as Okta, CrowdStrike, and Zscaler focusing on GitOps and automation.
• Work with the wider TechOps (IT support team), Platform, and application teams to constantly harden our infrastructure, systems, and applications are secure.
• Keep up to date with the latest security architecture and technologies and assess how they could benefit the company.
• Develop and maintain security documentation related to security tooling, including technical documentation and guides.
