Qualifications

• Proven experience in Cloud Security / Security Engineering / Infrastructure Security roles.
• Strong expertise in AWS security services and cloud-native security principles.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and container security.
• Experience implementing identity and access management (SSO, OAuth, etc.).
• Understanding of network security and secure architecture principles.
• Experience embedding security into SDLC / DevSecOps environments.

I’m partnered exclusively with a high-growth, product-led tech business on their search for a Cloud Security Engineer, who will be landing in a global environment backed by significant private investment, serving millions of users worldwide.

You’ll be part of building AI-driven, privacy-first platforms that handle highly sensitive user data. This is a key hire within a central platform engineering function, focused on embedding security into the foundations of a modern cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Embedding security-by-design across cloud infrastructure, engineering platforms, and developer tooling
• Driving security-as-code across infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and container environments
• Owning and enhancing cloud security posture across AWS (e.g. threat detection, vulnerability management, patching)
• Securing container ecosystems - image hardening, signing, verification, and policy enforcement
• Implementing and maintaining policy-as-code frameworks to enforce security standards at scale
• Building security observability and metrics to provide insight into risk and performance
• Collaborating cross-functionally to drive security culture, standards, and best practice

You must have

• Proven experience in Cloud Security / Security Engineering / Infrastructure Security roles
• Strong expertise in AWS security services and cloud-native security principles
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and container security (image hardening, runtime controls, admission policies)
• Experience implementing identity and access management (SSO, OAuth, SAML, JWT)
• Understanding of network security and secure architecture principles
• Experience embedding security into SDLC / DevSecOps environments
