Quantum is hiring a Lead Platform Engineer to own our Google Cloud platform and the route engineers take to production. You will design, build, and manage infrastructure with one engineer reporting to you, and you will grow the platform team as the business scales.

You’ll lead the rollout of the next platform version, unify build paths for acquired sites, and strengthen edge protection and resilience. You will report to the Director of Engineering and shape the platform roadmap.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a platform, cloud or infrastructure engineer, including leadership on a team.
• Deep hands-on experience with GCP (GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, BigQuery).
• Strong Terraform skills with production IaC experience.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions.
• Solid Docker and Kubernetes experience including networking and ingress.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and run scalable, secure infrastructure on GCP, defined in Terraform.
• Own networking, IAM design and data encryption in transit and at rest.
• Lead platform decisions and align with wider team.
• Collaborate with software engineers to deliver right infrastructure at the right time.
• Coordinate with data engineers on BigQuery and data pipelines.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and enable self-service tooling for product engineers.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis, with timely fixes.
• Mentor engineers and grow the platform team.
