Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Cloud Engineer for Public Cloud in the UK to help evolve an integrated multi-cloud ecosystem on AWS and Google Cloud. You will design, implement, and operate scalable cloud platforms, embracing a you-build-it-you-run-it mindset to drive reliability and security.

Strong emphasis on IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration across hybrid environments. Role requires hands-on cloud engineering experience, Terraform and Kubernetes expertise, and a passion for automation,

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or SRE at mid to senior level.
• Hands-on with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS and/or Google Cloud (GCP).
• IaC experience with Terraform, CloudFormation (AWS), and Deployment Manager (GCP).
• Programming in Python and Go; strong scripting and automation skills.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and IaC-driven deployments.
• Solid containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Strong networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls) and IAM in cloud.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, CloudWatch, Stackdriver).
• Commitment to SRE principles, operational ownership, and on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Platform Engineering: design, implement, and manage core cloud infra on AWS and GCP.
• IaC: develop and maintain reusable modules and blueprints for deployments.
• Automation: build scripts/tools to streamline provisioning and configurations.
• Containerization & Orchestration: manage Docker and Kubernetes for cloud-native deployments.
• SRE: ensure reliability, performance, and availability with monitoring, alerts, and incident response.
• Security & Compliance: apply cloud security best practices and IAM controls.
• CI/CD Integration: embed cloud provisioning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: document architectures and mentor junior engineers.
