Job summary

DRW in London is seeking a Cloud Performance Engineer to design and optimize latency-sensitive trading workloads in a hybrid cloud. You will work with cloud engineers, software developers, Linux- and network engineers to deliver end-to-end performance improvements.

The role emphasizes AWS, IaC with Terraform, Linux, Python and Bash automation, plus networking and security best practices. You should be comfortable prototyping with AI coding agents while maintaining simplicity and reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with AWS including EC2, VPC and Direct Connect
• Experience using Terraform to manage cloud infra and compute/network resources (Docker, K8s, Cisco devices)
• Experience in network fundamentals and routing protocols
• Strong Linux and Linux networking knowledge
• Automation experience with Bash and Python, with serverless orchestration
• Experience with AI coding agents for rapid prototyping and quality
• Security-minded implementation and adherence to policies
• Strong problem-solving and cross-team collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud and hybrid cloud architectures for latency-sensitive trading workloads.
• Build and maintain systems to monitor latency characteristics of distributed workloads.
• Work on orchestration tooling for provisioning cloud resources and networking configurations.
• Develop back-end systems for collecting performance metrics and querying them
