Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Development Engineer to build and operate the cloud’s network infrastructure at scale in the UK. You will join a world-class team that blends startup agility with the scale of AWS.

You will define technical direction, design architectures, automate network tasks, mentor peers, and partner with internal customers to deliver reliable, innovative networking solutions for AWS’s largest customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience in large-scale networks.
• Experience with IP networking protocols (BGP, OSPF) and routing fundamentals.
• Experience developing deployment/operational mechanisms to support IP networking systems.

Responsibilities

• Define technical direction and drive innovation for large-scale network infrastructure projects.
• Design and implement network architectures from the ground up.
• Own and drive resolution of complex network challenges affecting strategic customers.
• Develop and execute network automation strategy at scale.
• Lead multiple high-impact programs for AWS’s largest partners.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership within the team.
