Job summary

AMAZON UK is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to help build and operate AWS network tooling, automating processes and solving complex operational problems at scale. You will work in an Agile team that ships production-quality software and collaborates with network engineers worldwide.

You will investigate issues, develop solutions, and drive improvements while supporting internal customers across regions. A UK national with the ability to obtain security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Java, C++, Ruby or Go.
• Familiarity with Linux, command line, basic administration and computer networking fundamentals.
• Able to troubleshoot across network, OS and software to support cloud systems or related services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate team services, troubleshoot and identify root causes.
• Use testing, monitoring and validation tools to deploy new versions with minimal disruption.
• Contribute to automation improvements and tools to reduce manual operations.
• Provide technical solutions to real business problems in a global organization.
