Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Accelerator Business Platform in London. You will design, build, and operate the cloud-native platform infrastructure that enables product teams to move fast and safely, leveraging enterprise AI-assisted tooling and robust security practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration with experienced engineers, on-call incident support, and continuous learning across cloud technologies in a large financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience.
• Hands-on experience with software development, testing, and troubleshooting in a professional or project-based environment.
• Proficiency, or a strong working foundation, in one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, or Kotlin.
• Working understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and secure development practices.
• Foundational understanding of cloud and container technologies, including core Kubernetes concepts.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow within cloud-native platform engineering on a major cloud provider such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with demonstrated ability to evaluate outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, high-quality production code and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to the design and development of composable infrastructure systems and capabilities.
• Build, operate, and maintain Kubernetes-based platform services and CI/CD workflows.
• Identify and automate remediation of recurring operational issues to improve platform stability.
• Provide operational support for production systems in a you-build-it-you-run-it culture.
• Apply platform security and controls through infrastructure as code and policy-as-code.
