Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London is seeking a Platform Engineer for the Networking Team within the Accelerator.

You will drive platform-wide networking strategies, build resilient cloud-based environments, and lead automation with Kubernetes Operators and AI-assisted development practices. You will participate in on-call rotations and work from the office five days a week to collaborate with cross-functional squads and accelerate delivery of mission-critical systems for customers and partners

Qualifications

Deep understanding of public clouds and hands on knowledge building cloud based environments.
Expert knowledge of containerisation, Kubernetes and related tooling.
Proven experience designing and operating scalable, secure and resilient networks in GCP or AWS.

Responsibilities

Collaborate across the organisation to implement platform wide strategies in our networking stack.
Optimise our infrastructure for failover and resiliency.
Enhance our operator design and custom implementation with cloud native operators.
Improve observability of our networking components to meet SLOs.
Lead troubleshooting of production workloads for customers and during incidents.
Develop secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
Lead evaluations with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive architecture decisions.
